and listens to your stories

you talked about your favorite stuff
shared stories about your hobbies, getaways
all the fun stuff

it seemed you knew each other forever
told each other about your past relationships
your frustrations, talked about principles
you've seen more of each other that others don't see
day five
time ran so fast
you talked about almost everything under the sun
and then you stared at him
you started feeling something weird, can't help it
day six
he went out of town
there was no one to laugh at your silly jokes
no one to listen to your whining
he's nowhere beside you, it felt empty
day seven
you saw him coming your way
you felt like running to him
he smiled, your heart pounded... what was it?
